The end of summer learning journey

Hello blog world in today's post it is the last one for summer learning journey  for 2019.

What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey program this year? The most important thing i learnt was how to be sun safeWhat is one thing that surprised you? That you can only have racer dogs for one race  What is one thing that concerned or upset you? animals are ding from the rubbish and plastic in the sea. What is one thing that you (or your family) can do , moving forward, to help protect our natural environment? keeping the environment tidy so the animals can live an healthy life. Thank you summer learning journey for teaching us The world around us. I hope there is some more for next year. You have taught me a lot and i really appreciate it a lot. I enjoyed doing the activities you have done for the holidays.  See you next time i post

1. put a shirt with long sleeves
2. go into the shade of a umbrella or a leafy tree
3. put on heaps of sunscreen
4. wear a hat with wide brim or a cap with flaps
5. wear sunglasses that fit you

Today's post is about my favorite food. My favorite food is omelettes is sort of like a breakfast. this is how you make it.


Serves 1

Cooks in 10 minutes

DIFFICULTYSUPER EASY


ingredients

2 large free-range eggs

• 1 small knob of unsalted butter
• 1 small handful of grated Cheddar cheese , (optional)
• OPTIONAL: TOMATO & BASIL OMELETTE
• 2 or 3 sprigs of fresh basil
• 1 handful of cherry tomatoes
• olive oil
• OPTIONAL: MUSHROOM OMELETTE
• 2 or 3 field-type mushrooms
• olive oil

METHOD

• For a basic omelette, crack the eggs into a mixing bowl with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Beat well with a fork.
• 
  

Heat a small knob of butter in a small frying pan on a low heat, and once melted and bubbling, add the eggs and move the pan around to spread them out evenly.

When the omelette begins to cook and firm up, but still has a little raw egg on top, sprinkle over the cheese (if using). I sometimes grate mine directly on to the omelette.

Using a spatula, ease around the edges of the omelette, then fold it over in half. When it starts to turn golden brown underneath, remove the pan from the heat and slide the omelette on to a plate.

For a tomato and basil omelette, pick and roughly tear the basil leaves. Chop the tomatoes in half, then add to a hot frying pan with a small knob of butter, a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Fry and toss around for 1 minute, then turn the heat down to medium and sprinkle over the basil leaves. Add the eggs and move the pan around to spread them out evenly. Continue as for the basic omelette.

• For a mushroom omelette, quarter or roughly chop the mushrooms and add to a hot frying pan with a small knob of butter, a drizzle of oil and a pinch of salt and pepper. Fry and toss around until golden, then turn the heat down to medium. Add the eggs and move the pan around to spread them out evenly. When the omelette begins to cook and firm up, but still has a little raw egg on top, sprinkle over the Cheddar. Continue as for the basic omelette.

I was born in the south island Invercargill it is a really small place but I still like it because it is easy to find shops and other fun things. In the south island it is cold. In Invercarcargill it barely snows.

Hey blog world well for the Summer learning journey I am going to give you facts about New Zealand .

1. The meaning of  Aotearoa is means the land of the long white cloud.
2.  New Zealanders are also called kiwis but kiwi is not a fruit. It is New Zealand’s native flightless bird.
3. To become a New Zealand citizen, you must swear an oath of loyalty to Queen Elizabeth

5. The largest city in New Zealand is Auckland although its capital city is Wellington.
6. When in New Zealand, you must drive on the left side of the road.

SLJ paying it forward

If I went back in time to the 1930s I would give them some food and I would provide them some clothing and some shoes to wear when it is cold. I would give them some money to spend on them self's. I would buy them a house if they have no were to live so they dont have to live in so they dont live on the road or in a tent in the rain and cold.
